STORY BENEATH GINGERBREAD MAN
The story of the gingerbread man is a fairytale that I find interesting. The story goes as follows: There was an older woman who baked a gingerbread man to share with her husband. After baking, the gingerbread man jumped out of the baking pan and began to run. He then came across a cow, pig, and horse who all wanted to eat the gingerbread man. He sang the rhyme to escape from them all. He reached a river and tried to cross it. A clever fox offered help to the gingerbread man. After crossing the river, the fox eats both the gingerbread man and the fox. Fox was singing his rhyme, and he couldn’t get away. This story is available in.
HOW DO YOU MAKE GINGERBREAD CUTOUT COOKIES?
This gingerbread cutout cookie is simple to prepare. You only need the following ingredients.
Spices, all-purpose flour, butter, eggs, baking soda and spices. You can also use the gingerbread spice mix that you buy at the store. You can use your favorite cookie cutters to create gingerbread cookies. I used every single cookie cutter in my hand. Gingerbread man, Snowflakes, stars, and a Woman.
Last night, I finished the last of my gingerbread men and women, along with snowflakes and stars. There is still a lot of room for improvement.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER WHEN MAKING EASY CUTOUT COOKIES:
Before you cut out the shapes, freeze the dough. The dough is very soft.
Once the cake is dried, you can add frosting. Both homemade and store-bought frosting can be used. You may need to dilute store-bought frost to make it workable.
I adapted two recipes from Joy of Baking and another from Simply Recipes. To give it a little kick, I increased the spices in the Joy of Baking recipe and added some black pepper to Simply Recipe. It took me three days to complete. On the first day, I made the dough, and then on the second day, I cut and made cookies. On my third day, I iced them. My daughter helped roll the dough. The gingerbread cookies are delicious but not too spicy. It is firm enough to hold icing.

INSTRUCTIONS
Beat the butter and the sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer with the paddle attachment (or by hand) until they are light and fluffy. Beat the egg, molasses, and sugar until combined. Add the flour mixture gradually, beating it until it is incorporated. Mix all ingredients to make a smooth dough.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator until firm (at minimum two hours or overnight). Place the rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment.
Transfer and roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness equal to about 1/4 inch. Cut out the cookies with a gingerbread cutter. Lift the cookies with an offset spatula and place them about 2.5 cm (1 inch) apart on the baking sheet. Make a hole in the top of each cookie with a straw or the end of a wooden stick if you plan to hang the cookies as tags or use them for gift tags. If the cookies are soft, put the baking sheet with the cookies in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. The cookies will not lose their shape if you do this.
Bake the cookies for 8-12 minutes, depending on their size. When they are firm, and the edges begin to brown, you know that they are ready. The cookies should be removed from the oven, cooled on the baking tray for approximately 1 minute, and then transferred to a rack to completely cool. You can add raisins, currants, or candy to the dough while it is still warm. You can also use confectioner frosting to decorate your cookies. It should be stored in an airtight container.
Royal Icing – In an electric mixer or with a hand blender, mix powdered powdered sugar and meringue powder. Add water and rosewater to achieve the frosting consistency you desire. If desired, tint frosting with food coloring. Decorate the gingerbreadmen as expected with the frosting. Please place it in a pastry tip-equipped pastry bag.
