EASY CHOCOLATE SLICE | A CLASSIC SLICE RECIPE

Jump to Recipe Print RecipeThis easy Chocolate Slice recipe will take you back to your childhood!

For a delicious afternoon snack or treat for the kids lunch boxes, you really can’t go past this classic baked Chocolate Slice. It really couldn’t be easier to simply melt the butter and mix all of the ingredients – and you most likely already have all of the elements you need in your pantry!

This slice does share some similarities to my favorite Chocolate and Coconut Slice recipe; however, if you don’t like coconut (or have run out of it!) you can use rolled oats instead. The addition of chocolate chips is also optional and if you don’t have any, you can leave them out.

When decorating your slice, you can be as inventive as you like. This slice is delicious when topped with a simple chocolate icing (recipe below) plus some crushed Maltesers or desiccated coconut, or you could also choose not to ice it at all.

TIPS FOR MAKING THIS EASY CHOCOLATE SLICE:

You can omit the chocolate chips from the slice if you wish.

If you don’t like coconut, you can use rolled oats instead.

This slice is freezer friendly both iced and un-iced.

You can use store-bought chocolate frosting to top this slice if you prefer.

This slice is best stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
